Fit Specialist Training
As a leader in breast care around the world, Amoena offers education for women who want to become certified fit specialists.
Women who wear a prosthesis should have their fit evaluated at least once a year by a Certified Mastectomy Fitter (CMF).
CMFs are trained to fit bras and breast prostheses through manufacturer based programs. Their clinical experience, combined with their completion of an approved education program, allows them to apply for certification through nationally recognized boards such as:
- ABCOP (American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics)
- BOC (Board for Orthotists/Prosthetists Certification)
Amoena currently offers Introductory Fit Specialist courses and, new in Spring 2013, Mini Seminars for more advanced fit specialists*.
Fit seminar dates and locations are subject to change. We make every effort to update the list as soon as a change occurs.
